Lead Product Designer

September 23, 2021

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Product Designer who is passionate about serving the often neglected demographic of lower-income, value-conscious consumers by designing better experiences for our sellers. All product designers on the team touch every dimension of the seller experience and have an influential voice in determining the future business and design strategy at Wish. We are challenged by leadership to disrupt both existing work processes and thriving business models, to envision and build the future of affordable shopping.

Not located in the Bay Area? Remote work is acceptable! (*US, Canada, and Europe)

What you’ll do as a Lead Product Designer, Category Experiences

You’ll work on multiple projects such as Category pages and interaction with these category pages. They are, unarguably, one of the most important page types in an online retailer’s arsenal today. These pages serve as sources of traffic, assist with product discovery and grant retailers the possibility to steer consumer focus from one product to another. The fun part of this program is detailed interactions so we don’t lose our user and keep guiding them to make the best choice.

Act as a role model of craftsmanship and execution.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand product requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
Effectively communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
Showcase strong product thinking and visual design skills and can deliver high-quality creative products while insisting on high standards and attention to detail.
Execute in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
Bonus if you are strong in any niche areas — i.e. animation, design systems, prototyping, motion design, user research, and other ways that add delight to the product experience.
